COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT WITH 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY

Our ENTREPRENeur Mindset and projects

Entrepreneurship isn’t just about starting companies; it is a skill set and a way of thinking. It involves identifying needs, brainstorming creative solutions, innovating, and taking calculated risks. In short, it’s about having a vision and making it a reality. Anyone can be entrepreneurial in their own way, and our program shows them how.

We believe the real value in learning and practicing entrepreneurship starts with nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset and spirit, which includes the ability to be confident and creative, to learn from failure, and to work well with others to bring your ideas to life. Entrepreneurship encompasses everything needed to be successful in the future; including vision, creativity, innovation, initiative, persistence, risk and fear tolerance, collaboration, resilience, and determination.

The resulting businesses and products are showcased in each Future Leaders' (Teen's) portfolio, to demonstrate to potential schools, universities and employers not just subject area knowledge, but the skills to actually create new, progressive solutions to the problems we confront in the world today.

Welcome and thank you for your interest in 24/7 Learning Academy Entrepreneurship After School Program. We are dedicated to creating a safe, enriching and fun atmosphere for all of our Future Leaders (teens). We provide memorable experiences that will last a lifetime. Please take a few minutes to read through this handbook. It will provide you and your Future Leader (teen) with valuable information on making the most of your 24/7 Learning Academy Entrepreneurship After School Program experience.

24/7 Learning Academy Entrepreneurship After School Program Goals: Based on a long-term commitment to education, 24/7 Learning Academy Entrepreneurship After School Program strives to provide an enthusiastic, imaginative and intellectually stimulating atmosphere to help Future Leaders (teens)develop a lifelong appreciation, understanding and stewardship for entrepreneurship, leadership, and community service. 24/7 Learning Academy Entrepreneurship After School Program goals are…

  1. To create a stimulating environment that encourages Future Leaders (teens) to become stewards of entrepreneurship, leadership, and community service.
  2. To focus on creating an atmosphere of building self-esteem in our Future Leaders (teens) with positive experiences that build confidence and skills.
  3. To provide Future Leaders (teens) with opportunities to create, work within teams, think critically, problem solve, and find ways to improve their communities

Our goals encourage our Future Leaders (teens) to be productive global citizens in this world we all share. You can be a part of this outcome with your Future Leader by simply asking them the following questions each day the After School Entrepreneurship Program. What did you create today? How did you fail today and what did you learn from it? What problem did find and were you able to come up with a solution? Who did you work with today and what did you learn about them? Did you think about ways you can improve your community?

Things to Share with Your Future Leader (teen): No matter the age, the fear of new experiences is a very normal reaction at the After School Entrepreneurship Program. Before the After School Entrepreneurship Program begins, thoroughly read the confirmation packet in order to know what to expect from the After School Entrepreneurship Program. Future Leaders (teens) are encouraged to discuss any concerns with parents/guardians ahead of time. Once Future Leaders (teens)arrive, “icebreaker” activities enable Future Leaders (teens)to talk about themselves, their favorite hobbies or even why they decided to attend the After School Entrepreneurship Program. These activities encourage interaction with other Future Leaders (teens) that have similar interests. Our mentors are dedicated to providing a fun, safe and educational experience for each Future Leader. Please encourage your Future Leader(s) to reach out to their mentors if they have questions or concerns throughout the program..
