Graduation Course Completion Requirements

At 24/7 Learning Academy, we have personal learning levels and multi-age activities instead of traditional grade levels. We don't group learners by age and date limits; we group them by personal learning levels as well as flexible academic groups. For learners to meet our graduation requirements they must show mastery of and within the core course requirements listed below.


English Language arts

4 Credits, with major concentration in composition, reading for information, and literature - English 9, 10, 11, 12


Mathematics

4 Credits, of Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II with Trigonometry


Science

4 Credits, including 1 credit each of biology and a physical science


Social Studies

3 Credits, including 1 Credit - world history, 1 Credit - US history,  .5 Credit - US govt., .5 Credit economics


Fine Arts/Practical

2 Credits, in fine or practical arts including 1 credit each in arts and music.  These credits can be in art history and music theory.


Foreign Language

2 Credits –same language, Highly recommended--Not required for high school graduation; but required for admission into state universities.  American Sign Language meets requirements


Physical Education

4 Credits, in physical education to include the integration of health


Projects and Career

10 Credits, School wide/Cohort projects - 1 credit per year

  • Internships - 6 credits
  • Personal project - 4 credits

Electives

3 Credits


Total

36 credits


Grade Point Average

(GPA) Requirements

Cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for the State Graduation Requirements
