24/7 Learning Academy's Homeschool Umbrella Program gives the homeschool community the advantage of private school enrollment while maintaining the curricular freedom inherent in homeschooling. Beyond attendance, the school also provide testing, transcripts and report cards.
As a member of the 24/7 Learning Academy umbrella homeschool program, families don’t have to worry about fulfilling the legal requirements as required by section 1002.41, f.s.

HOW MUCH DOES THE 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY HOMESCHOOL UMBRELLA PROGRAM COST?
Yearly Costs: $180 (Additional cost may apply)
DO WE NEED TO TEACH A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS PER DAY? We don't require a certain number of hours per day. This will depend on the grade level, individual needs of the student, and the curriculum used.
ARE WE REQUIRED TO TEACH A CERTAIN NUMBER OF DAYS PER YEAR? 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY believes that parents should have the freedom to determine their own school calendar however, at a minimum, each student must accumulate 180 days of attendance per school year. Florida Statutes require that all students attend school for a minimum of 180 days per year. The 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY school year begins on August 14st of each year and ends of July 31st of the following year.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ENROLLING WITH 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY AND REGISTERING WITH THE COUNTY AS A HOME EDUCATION STUDENT? 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY is a private school. Therefore, students are not bound by Florida homeschooling laws. 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY provides an "umbrella" to its members in all counties within the state of Florida. While students are taught at home, they are students of 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY and under such circumstances are not required to register with the county nor meet the requirements of the state of Florida.
DO YOU SELL 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY, CURRICULUM OR OTHER COURSE RELATED MATERIALS? 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY does currently sell books, curriculum or other course related materials. We believe that parents should be able to customize a program to fit the individual needs of their student. It is our goal to keep homeschooling affordable by allowing the parent(s) to select and purchase materials from us. DO YOU REQUIRE A STATEMENT OF FAITH? No, 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY does not require a statement of faith.
WHAT IF MY CHILD IS ALREADY REGISTERED WITH THE COUNTY UNDER THE HOME EDUCATION PROGRAM? If a student enrolls with a private school, the parent or guardian must file a "Notice of Termination" with the superintendent's office within 30 days of said enrollment. The "Notice of Termination" should include the same student information as the "Notice of Intent." In this case, the reason of termination is "the student has enrolled with a private school." As with all official correspondence, it is always a good idea to send your notice via certified mail, return receipt requested to guarantee delivery.
DOES 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY OFFER CLASSES? 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY does offer onsite and remote classes. (Additional Registration and Fees apply)
ARE YOU AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL? We are currently registered with the Florida Department of Education as a private school and offer accredited courses through the Florida Virtual School.
DOES 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY ISSUE DIPLOMAS OR TRANSCRIPTS? 24/7 LEARNING ACADEMY does issue diplomas, report cards, transcripts, and provides record maintenance and letters of good standing upon request.
